Welcome to Day Hiker Grammie!
Hello and welcome! My name is Lisa and I am Day Hiker Grammie. I am the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren! Most of them call me Grammie! My grandchildren are my favorite traveling companions and they travel with me as often as time and budget allows.
When I created my YouTube channel, it was initially going to be about hiking and camping. Hence the name, Day Hiker Grammie. However, I have a general love of travel as well as hiking and camping so I decided I would just blog about and make videos of all my adventures. You can find me on YouTube under Day Hiker Grammie.
Recently, I found myself unemployed. Not the most ideal position to be in but perhaps it is the ideal time to create a channel and a blog that talks about the things that I love to do the most. I love to travel. I like to go hiking. I like to camp. I find myself in a unique position to do a little of everything before I have to knuckle in and commit myself to regular full-time employment again.
